Cannot recommend Dan & the team at Swindon Sports Therapy enough. I visited them after long term shoulder / back pain took its toll and made me give in to help, to cut a story short, a few sessions down the line now and that pain is pretty much non existent due to their expertise and professionalism. I have also gained knowledge from them on how to really target this area myself through a variation of exercises and stretches. Many thanks for your help.
I have completed my physio sessions with Dan following the recent dislocation of my shoulder and previous trauma to the same area. I am now pain free, have improved arm/shoulder mobility and my muscles around that area are stronger and are working more effectively. It was helpful to receive a video of the exercises I had to complete at home, so that I could ensure I was doing them correctly. Dan is an excellent practitioner, very professional and friendly. I would not hesitate to return to him if I need physio in the future. Thank you Dan.
I went to visit Dan at Swindon sports therapy after experiencing a prolonged period of shoulder instability and discomfort in the gym. This was my first time visiting a sports physiotherapist, and decided on his clinic because of the fantastic reviews. I was not disappointed.Dan is incredibly professional and efficient in his work. After my first session, he had diagnosed where the instability was and what was likely causing it. He also worked into the tighter parts of the tissue in the surrounding muscles.I was provided with some at home stretches and exercises that were easy to follow. He first showed me them in person and had me try them out, to ensure I was feeling the stretch in the desired place. He then offered to send me additional videos of each exercise if I required them. After a short couple of weeks of consistently performing the stretches provided, I was already noticing a great improvement in stability, and a huge reduction in discomfort.I had a few more sessions with Dan in the following months where he continued to work into the tissue and provided me with some additional variations of the stretches, to implement some progressive overload and further strengthen the shoulder.Dan is incredibly honest and honourable. Even after my third session he suggested that he was very happy with the direction of my progress and he didn’t think it’d be necessary to continue with reoccurring appointments. I decided I’d like one more as I finial check up about 6 weeks after my third and at the end of this session he set me on my way. I feel like it’s commonly known for places to like to hook you into routine checkups for good business, but Dan is all about his patients.I’m incredibly grateful for the sessions I had with Dan. I am back being able to do what used to be my favourite exercises with little to no discomfort and it’s really brought back my passion for the gym.If I ever have any other issues, I will always return to Dan.
Dan treated me for a torn bicep tendon, he was clearly very knowledgeable, and he really tailored the treatment to my specific situation. He really went the extra mile, offering me more exercises via email between our sessions and generally checking how I was progressing. If I injure myself at work again, I’ll go straight back to Dan.
Saw Stuart as a result of falling on my knee playing Tennis. Hurt when I ran. After first treatment, now running pain free. Also gave me some exercises for Sciatica which we were useful and simple to understand. Stuart came across as both friendly and knowledgeable.
I've been treated by Dan for over two years now. I train for triathlon and initially visited him with a lower leg running injury which he helped sort as well as helping me outin place some preventative measures to stop it coming back. Since then he has treated more for a range of different niggles that have some up during the course of my training to help keep me going. It's an all round great friendly service, I would highly recommend.
I've seen Dan over the last couple of years for an ongoing back issue I have. Highly recommended. With Dan's help I've managed to get back to life before my back injury started affecting my daily life.
Always professional, listens to your issues and looks at a whole package of treatment including home exercises.I’d visited many different types of practitioners until Dan finally solved my back issue and now maintains it with occasional visits whilst I continue to do regular sports.Excellent skills and knowledge
So I have been seeing Dan for a while now. Initially to sort some tightness in my neck and shoulders. But continue to see him every 6 weeks to maintain my posture and mobility.I can’t recommend him enough! He really has improved my quality of life. He always gives me sound advice and recommendations for exercises I can do at home or work.I know my mobility would be a lot worse without the help of Dan.Thank you 😊
Physiotherapy may be the solution to a physical ailment that has not been considered by those suffering from it, or those typically seen to diagnose and resolve it. It seems there are many issues for which medicine or other traditional medical practices are employed, but which physio may be much more suitable and effective. Getting the body and its systems to work properly together, to relax what is over-stressed and rehabilitate what needs repairs, can have a very clear, immediate and effective result.I have had some issues with my right knee after over-training. This had happened several years ago, and again during the covid lockdown. I was running every day and simply overstretched my leg. Pain resulted and a visit to the doctor diagnosed Osteo-Arthritis. I was told my leg would simply not function properly again. My wife had used Swindon Sports Therapy after receiving a weight-lifting injury, a disc compression. The benefit was nothing short of profound. After maybe three sessions of physio with Dan, my knee no longer had any pain, weaknesses and tears in the surrounding muscles having been identified and worked with. Not only was I able to go for long walks, I could actually run again (this time tempering the enthusiasm a bit). I have had a flare up since, but some more regular sessions have resolved the issue once again.I very strongly recommend Swindon Sports Therapy. The results of my visits have literally provided a return to engaging in exercise and leisurely walks, and an absence from daily pain. There's not much that can be better than that!
I have greatly benefitted from treatments at Swindon Sports Therapy for many years now. Having had a serious road accident as a teenager I was left with movement difficulties in my back and left leg. More recently abdominal surgery has led to a much longer than expected recovery time. It would not be an exaggeration to say that the treatment I have received from Dan ( and before Dan, Jamie) at SST has hugely improved my quality of life. Many thanks,Jane
Brilliant technique, knowledgeable, honest and experienced therapist. Can't recommend enough.
I started at Swindon Sports Therapy barely able to walk due to knee pain. I'd already seen a number of professionals and done lots of physiotherapy, but with no improvement. After just one session with Dan, I could immediately see an improvement in strength and had a decrease in pain. A few months later, after lots of massage, encouragement, simple exercises and stretches I'm back to hiking through the hills again, without any pain. I'd highly recommend Swindon Sports Therapy!
Fantastic, professional service. Stuart has been a huge part in my recovery from a back injury, would definitely recommend!
Excellent service, polite receptionist, very professional in the initial consultation and explained the treatment plan fully and clearly explained the costs of the treatment plan.
Swindon Sports Therapy has helped me with some long term sporting injuries that I have had. The fantastic sessions have given me instant long term pain relief from these as well as ongoing support to keep me feeling at my best. Dan is straight to the point and quick to identify your pain with no messing and is quick to fix any issues you may have. Cannot recommend Swindon Sports Therapy enough!
I have been receiving treatment from Dan at Swindon Sports Therapy for nearly 2 years to compliment my strength and conditioning training (especially as I am approaching 40!). I cannot fault the care and attention that goes into every session, and I have felt generally much healthier and fitter as a result. Thank you!
Dan is a great professional physio. I’ve seen Dan for several different injuries, usually the more complex ones. Very methodical and gets to the bottom of the issue. Not only is there treatment on the table but always suggestions of on going stretches and other methods to help the injury at home. There’s never any pressure to book additional sessions, this is always my decision.Over lockdown all the correct measures were in place and I had no issues visiting the clinic over this time.In summary I would happily recommend Dan and Swindon Sports Therapy.
I have been going for quite some time and have always found that the pain that takes me there, does go away. Not magic of course, but good work done, sometimes it hurts to be cured... but it hurts anyway. So always grateful. Dan is a great physio... and I have no doubts in recommending them.
I have been attending Swindon Sports Therapy for some 10 years now receiving treatment for various strains, aches and pains, first with Jamie and now with Dan. I have always received first class treatment and what impresses me is that the nature of the treatment is always explained. I have a back problem, which is kept at bay with the treatment I receive. I have always found both Jamie and Dan professional, polite and engaging as therapists. My wife and one of my daughters have attended at times and been more than happy with their treatment. I wholeheartedly recommend Swindon Sports Therapy.
Stuart is friendly and professional. I've visited him for a variety of aches and pains, and his treatments and advice have always been effective and helpful. Highly recommended!
Great service and got me back to my normal self, after a prolonged knee injury Stuart was able to identify the issue straight away and put me right. I feel a lot better and this is down to Stuarts great treatment. Thank you.
I have been pleased with all of the sessions that I have had with Stuart for a problem that I was having with my hip. It has been amazing seeing and feeling the difference that just a few months have made and best of all, I can run again without any discomfort! A nice, easy-going environment and I found the sessions to be very informative in helping me to understand my injury.

Have seen 2 therapists here and both have been great- knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything fully as well as provide follow up stretches to do. Excellent service.
Great service, highly knowledgeable, honest and great treatment. Could not recommend more!
The best Physio by far!I've had 5 different Physiotherapists over the years and Dan is the best yet. Easy to work with, gives great 'at-home' exercise to do and has sorted all my sports injuries.
I booked an appointment with Dan to look at a shoulder injury that was causing me great discomfort performing various weight-based gym exercises. Over the 4 appointments, Dan spent time massaging and releasing any tightness in muscles connected with the injury (chest, neck, bicep, back) and also gave valuable insight into stretches and exercises to work on away from the sessions. After the sessions I am now free of any pain and have also gained the knowledge to prevent the injury reoccurring. Dan was brilliant and went above and beyond the therapy provided in the appointments by being on hand to answer any queries I had relating to other sports related injuries and also providing good content for homework with links to helpful Youtube videos.
I highly recommend Stuart. I went in with a long term painful foot problem which I previously tried treating myself. After one session I knew it would be solved. After a course of treatment I am now walking normally and its been amazing whats been achieved. Stuart is professional and friendly ,just the right balance in treatment for me.
I developed am extremely painful knee following some tough biking trips, Dan spent 5 sessions on it and has completely sorted it, he gave me exercises to do at home as well all of which means I now ride painlessly. I could not recommend him enough
I received surgery on my spine for a prolapsed disc and trapped sciatic nerve in February 2017, the surgery went well and I started to recovery as expected. Unfortunately, the problem with my trapped sciatic nerve returned threefold just three months later in May and this is when I contacted Stuart at Swindon Sports Therapy.Stuart is a fantastic and astute individual who after just two sessions had started to alleviate my pain. A total of 8 to 10 sessions later and some easy to use home exercises, I have now completed my therapy with SST and felling back to being myself again.Would definitely recommend.Thank you 🙂
I went to see Dan about various bits of my body which hurt! Shoulder, knee, lower back. His deep massaging techniques caused excruciating pain as he worked out bits of tight muscle, but when I stood up and moved about, I couldn’t believe the difference. I had four sessions, and although my body slipped back into it’s old problems, I now know where to stick my own thumbs to work out the knots so that everything works reasonably well.
